Soter Vineyards invites you to embrace the unexpected at the fourth annual SAGRA del RADICCHIO! This unique celebration goes beyond Italian chicories to showcase a variety of underappreciated crops that thrive in challenging conditions.
Our chef, Clayton Allen, will be on site and we are thrilled to participate in this event that showcases a diverse selection of winter vegetables and grains, including winter radishes, pomodori d'inverno (winter tomatoes), dry-farmed winter squash, heirloom beans and corn, and buckwheat. Immerse yourself in a world of flavors and stories with over 40 tasting stations featuring dishes and drinks crafted by local and visiting chefs. Farmers will share their experiences and passion for these remarkable crops. This event offers more than just tasting; it’s an opportunity to learn about sustainable farming practices and discover the cultural significance of these crops. Gain a deeper appreciation for climate-resilient agriculture and the vital role it plays in our food systems.
The SAGRA del RADICCHIO is partially funded by the ODA-SCBPG project "Collaborative Market Development for Climate Resilient Vegetables in Oregon," highlighting the importance of these crops for the future of sustainable farming. Join us at this eye-opening celebration of nature's resilience and culinary diversity. Experience firsthand why "Bitter is Better" and why these underdog crops deserve a place on your plate!
