Shipping Guidelines
To request delivery on a specific date, please contact our Shipping Coordinator at 503-687-3603 or shipping@sotervineyards.com. With advance notice, we can adjust your ship date, weather permitting.
For all alcohol shipments, an adult signature (21 or older) is required upon delivery. We recommend shipping to a business address or a FedEx/UPS location for convenience, as we cannot ship to P.O. boxes.
Tracking information will be emailed to the address provided in your shipping details once the carrier scans your package. Please check your spam or junk folders if you do not see it. For the most accurate delivery estimate, refer directly to the carrier to ensure someone is available to sign for your wine.
The carrier will attempt delivery three times before returning the package to us. If you anticipate being unavailable to sign or receive a missed delivery notice, please contact the carrier directly or email us at shipping@sotervineyards.com for assistance.*
Pickup Option: You may arrange to pick up your package at a local carrier facility. Please note that carriers hold packages for a maximum of 5 business days.
Address Change: You can request delivery to an alternate address within the same state as the original destination. A $21 fee applies for address changes.
If your wine is returned to us due to unsuccessful delivery, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Please note that additional shipping charges will apply. For club members, if we are unable to reach you, your wine will be shipped with your next allocation.
Our primary carrier is FedEx, but we can ship via UPS Ground upon request. For UPS Air shipping, please contact us at shipping@sotervineyards.com to discuss costs.
We recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager or UPS My Choice, based on your carrier, to better manage deliveries. These services allow recipients to customize delivery options, such as vacation holds or appointment deliveries, which must be selected directly by the recipient.
Winegrowers Case Club Members Shipping Benefits
Soter Vineyards provides Ground and Vinum55 shipping at no cost for Winegrowers Case Club Members on three annual allocations and additional purchases shipped with those allocations.
To utilize this benefit, orders must ship on the same date as your next club allocation. For Air shipping to HI and FL, members receive a 50% discount. Please note, shipping benefits do not apply to online orders.
To take advantage of these benefits, contact us at (503) 662-5600 or membership@sotervineyards.com for assistance.
When Placing an Online Order
Enter and select your shipping address, then proceed to “Shipping Options.” Review the notes at the top of the checkout page for weather-related recommendations and the scheduled shipping date for your chosen method.
All orders are reviewed for compliance with state regulations before shipping. If additional information is needed, we will contact you using the billing details provided.
Ground delivery typically takes 1–7 business days, depending on your distance from Oregon. For delivery estimates or to request a specific delivery date, contact us at shipping@sotervineyards.com.
We stand by our products and will replace or refund wine that is damaged or flawed. For assistance, contact shipping@sotervineyards.com. Local customers may return the unfinished portion of the bottle(s) to the tasting room for a replacement or refund.
Please note, our guarantee does not apply to wine shipped against our recommendations or is not received on the first delivery attempt. For questions, contact our Shipping Coordinator at 503-687-3603 or shipping@sotervineyards.com.*
If your wine arrives visibly damaged, contact us promptly to arrange a replacement or refund. Please provide photos of the damaged packaging and bottles, as they may be required for a carrier claim. Retain the original packaging until further instructions. We will guide you on returning the package (if needed) and coordinate a replacement or refund.
Weather Restrictions
We do not ship wine via Ground during extreme temperatures. Customers may choose Express Air, Cold Chain (available May–October), or hold their order until weather permits safe Ground shipping (typically mid-March to early April and October to November). While we cannot guarantee weather conditions, we strive to protect your package from extremes. If you receive a damaged bottle, contact us immediately.
For shipment inquiries, please reach out to our Shipping Coordinator at 503-687-3603 or shipping@sotervineyards.com.
FedEx Cold Chain Shipping (offered May – October)
FedEx Cold Chain combines refrigerated trucks and Priority Overnight shipping to protect wine from high temperatures. While more expensive than Ground shipping, it is typically cheaper than Express Air. Delivery takes about one week from the scheduled pick-up date, which follows a specific schedule. Expected pick-up and delivery dates will be communicated or can be found in the checkout notes for online orders.
This service is unavailable in Hawaii and not recommended for Arizona during extreme summer heat. Note that delivery vehicles are not temperature-controlled, making a successful first delivery attempt before noon crucial to maintaining wine quality. Deliveries to most areas are guaranteed by noon, but extended service areas may experience delays until 5 PM. For particularly hot states, we recommend holding shipments until safe Ground shipping is possible.
Arrive55 (formerly Vinum55)
Arrive55 shipping is available in select regions of AZ and TX. Please contact us to confirm availability for your area.
AZ: Phoenix Metro and Tucson.
TX: Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio (availability may be limited outside city centers).
Arrive55 is our preferred carrier for these states unless the address is outside the delivery area or another method is requested. This service offers fully temperature-controlled transit (55°F) to protect wine quality during extreme weather. Vehicles and storage facilities are climate-controlled, eliminating risks from missed deliveries.
Delivery Timeline: Orders are consolidated for monthly pick-up (March–October, volume permitting). AZ deliveries are handled by Arrive55 staff, while TX deliveries use a final-mile partner (estimated delivery 10 days after arrival in TX).
Tracking & Support: Arrive55 provides tracking via Detrack and works directly with recipients to ensure successful delivery. Scottsdale warehouse pick-up is available for AZ shipments.
For assistance or delivery changes, contact Arrive55 at 833-455-9463 or DTC@arrive55.com.
Gift Shipping
We cannot ship wine as a surprise gift, as alcohol deliveries require an adult signature (21+) at the time of delivery. Please notify the recipient to expect a package from Soter Vineyards and provide their email for tracking updates to ensure successful delivery.
Payment & Tracking: Payment details are sent only to the billing contact, and costs are not listed on packing slips. Tracking information is sent to the shipping contact (recipient). Upon request, we can include the billing contact in tracking notifications.
Gift Notes & Packaging: We can include a personalized gift note—simply provide your message. Gift packaging, available seasonally or by request, includes a Soter box and handwritten card for $15/package. Contact shipping@sotervineyards.com for details.
